Lucky Reservation Holders get there BRABUS !
I got the email I have been waiting for today and it reads as follows:
"Congratulations ! Your request to convert your current smart fortwo reservation to a 2009 smart fortwo BRABUS model has been accepted ! You will be one of the first customers to own this very special smart fortwo model in 2009"
"Your smart fortwo BRABUS will be delivered at smart center Bloomington.".
Has anyone else been accepted ?

I got my confirmation for another smart and I did not see the option to convert to Brabus. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hi David, The 2009 Brabus was only offered to old reservation holders that had not yet configured a car. This was an email offer from smart USA. It may be that it was extended to first time buyers only, but I know for sure that the older reservation holders got first crack at it. My original reservation was on March 1st 2008. There are only 1500 to 1600 units that will be built for the US market for the 2009 model year. They are only building them from Jan - June 2009, and after that they are done for the 2009 model year. It could be that your reservation was just to new, and they figured they would sell out the 1500 to 1600 units before they got to yours. So in general it was limited offer for 2009. You can't just order one yet but there is allways 2010. They may have the turbo on them by then. Good Luck
