Non-Owner/Enthusiasts: Help an MBA Student re-Launch SmartCar in North America!

To all Enthusiasts out there who are still on the fence about buying a Smart fortwo: Do you mind sharing your thoughts? I think there should be a Smart fortwo parked on every driveway in America. I've got a few questions to help me figure how a Smart fortwo can be made even better! Your answers are appreciated so much, and it's a huge help for me as I think about Smarrt fortwo in my Innovation and Design Strategy class. Please share your thoughts!

1) What hesitations do you have about purchasing?

2) If safety is a concern…If you could be guaranteed that the Smartcar was as
safe and reliable as any other regular car, would that change your feelings
about owning one.

3) If you were to describe the appearance of the Smartcar in a couple sentences
to someone who has never seen one, what would you say?

4) Who do you think are the primary purchasers of Smartcars?

5) If you were given one for free, how would you use it?

6) If the city/town you live in mandated that you drive a Smartcar, how would you customize it?
(Fenders, Spoiler, Roof Rack, Tint, Street Effects, Luxury Appointed interior)

7) If you were going to sell yourself the car, what would be your marketing
pitch that would really speak to you? Or make you consider the car more
seriously?

Do you have one in your driveway?  I have had mine for three years.

I'm only an enthusiast, wish I had one! I'm doing a academic study on Smart fortwo for school. From owners and other enthusiasts, I'm trying to gather thoughts so I can understand where the car is strong and where it could be improved. The goal is to write a business plan that helps the car achieve further prominence and visibility in the US market. I'd look forward to any thoughts or suggestions you may have! thanks, Matt

Smart fortwo Friends,
Your perspective as been awesome and I appreciate it so much. I think my professor will be blown away by the community around this product. If anyone else cares to chime in with their thoughts, it would help me round out this experience survey. My professor is looking for at least 10 responses to qualify my take-aways from this survey so please help!

Best, Matt

@ Richard Haines West- yeah I can't believe there aren't more proactive city programs out there. Chevy Volt is like a year old and there are already charging stations set up in downtown Boston but I know it's illegal to park front first in a smartcar.

I  charge $500 to reply to marketing questions (5 questions maximum). Do you expect to give away your expertise for free?.
