I bought a ScanGauge last year, installed it in my car, and haven't looked at it since. I paid $160 for it and I'd like to get at least $120. There's nothing at all wrong with it - it's just silly to have it in my car and not use it. I just got a program on my phone that will keep track of mpg and fuel and maintenance expenses, and that's all I'm really interested in.

PM me or just reply to the post if you're interested. TIA - sheureka

This sold in about 5 minutes - so it's gone. Thanks for the interest though.

Thanks for helping me make up my mind. Our other car is a Prius. I have learned to get better MPG by using its display. I was thinking of the ScanGauge, but balked at the readability and cost. I found an Auto meter MPG gauge, called the Ecometer, see http://www.autometer.com/ecometer/ for those who are interested. It retails for $69 and will give me all I need. It plugs into the same OBD port, so there's no fancy wiring. And, no I haven't bought mine yet, maybe tomorrow.

Looks good.I might pick one up this weekend. If you beat me to it let me know how the install/set-up went.Would be nice if it fits in one of the pods.

Looks like you'll beat me. Out here in the boonies the local shop hadn't even heard of it yet. I am looking online for the best price too. Keep me posted on how it works, thanks.

Dont know how often you read these, but I was wondering if you got the Ecometer and if you liked it.

Never bought one. Had an email discussion with the ecometer engineers. The basic conclusion I came to, is that ANY meter you install that uses the car's own sensor/data device is only as good(accurate) as the device itself. Everyone tries to calibrate the gauge to read EXACT info only to be frustrated because the car's sensor is not that precise. I have not driven my car as much as I thought I would anyway, so the need was not that urgent. I have rethought the scan-gauge approach simply because it can be used on any other car I own to read and reset trouble codes. I do, still like, the relative reading the ecometer gives as to the amount of lead in my foot. Will a simple manifold vacuum gauge do the same? I already have one of those laying around somewhere, so I will find it and try. Sorry for the epistle, but I like to type I guess...LOL Almost forgot, I found an interface that lets you hook an I-fone or I-pod touch to the OBD port and use an APP to display info in a gauge format on the I-POD screen. Think I-Pad with the same interface.... I will be looking into THAT.
