tow hooks on my 211 passon smart car
i want to tow my smart passon 2011 with my 29 ft motorhome i want to tow it with installing 2 tow hooks on the front of the frame i got one with my car and i will buy one more at the dealership over in england thats the way they tow them all the time any body see any problem i do not want to tear off the front end of my car and install a base plate then install the front end again any information please reply jg clark jgclark@ TAMPABAY.RR.COM thank you kindly

The tow hooks are not meant for the towing your smart behind your motorhome. You will have to install a towbar like the Blue Ox and there is also another brand for towing your smart behind your motorhome. The tow hooks are only meant to tie the can down or to drag it up on a flatbed, not for towing.

CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THATS THE WAY IT IS DONE OVER IN ALL OF ENGLAND ALL THE TIME I HAVE A BLUE OX TOW BAR WHICH I HOPE TO HOOK UP TO MY TOW PINS JUST THE SAME AS A BASE PLATE THE TOW PINS
SCREW RIGHT INTO THE FRONT FRAME OF THE SMART CAR 1 ON EACH SIDE OF MY SMART CAR

How did you make out with your towing from the two hooks on the front of your smart. call me 239 673-8931 Paul Cape coral fl.I called the UK for advice on their towing,I spoke to a owner of company and they install a complete base plate and do not use the two y bolts he claims they bare not strong enough.
