The tow hooks are not meant for the towing your smart behind your motorhome. You will have to install a towbar like the Blue Ox and there is also another brand for towing your smart behind your motorhome. The tow hooks are only meant to tie the can down or to drag it up on a flatbed, not for towing.

Permalink Reply by Paul Sarault on January 20, 2013 at 8:41am How did you make out with your towing from the two hooks on the front of your smart. call me 239 673-8931 Paul Cape coral fl.I called the UK for advice on their towing,I spoke to a owner of company and they install a complete base plate and do not use the two y bolts he claims they bare not strong enough.
