451 smart fortwo

I guess it is a good question to ask yourself?
Would you do it or not. Add a Turbo to your fine toy. 30 to 50 HP gain.

Yes it is true. Our turbo kit is almost done and will be in for production in March.
We are looking at doing about 3 to 4 psi boost and provide a tune for both the engine management and shift. HP gains could be from 30 hp and up and fully adjustable.

We set a date for the end of this week to work on the tuning side of the kit. At this moment the hardware is completely done.

The BPP Turbo looks promising. I am still considering in but $3,000 is a hunk of change

Install will be extra $$$.

This is very cool, but I think the answer is to Supercharge instead of Turbo. Instant power - fast - no spool-up, and great economy boost. My other car has one and I love it. It's a full size (big) car, and last weekend I got 28.7mpg at 80 mph. Wish I could get one for the smart!

it's easier to turbo, there is almost no room for a s/c and greater future potential with the turbo... i have owned several both turbo and supercharged cars...

my turbo smart can make max boost @ 2000rpm, with such small turbos there is no such thing as lag, it spools right off idle..

there is a s/c kit in the uk but it's way more than 2x the price of this kit!

Hi Neil, You are correct the don't sell them in the States. On your Passion Turbo what size wheels did you get with the car?????????
I got the Pluse Turbo in November because it came with the big wheels as standard, put the spacers and wheel arches on after.

the car had 175/50 on the back and 155/55 on the front; i put the rears on the front and bought 195/45 for the rear. lower and harder springs by about 35mm improved the handling especially with the remap. in the pic you see the evil twin centre exhaust which lasted about 2 weeks before my ears gave in.........could tell no improvement in performance other than loads of noise so now run the original exhaust.
