Mine was parked outside the dealership rejected by the previous reservationist. His loss my gain. You should have seen the smile on my face that day i got mine, and i was ready to jump for joy. I did break several speeding laws getting there.
mmm... I had assumed the third eye is non-functional... but then I have no idea where the sensors are for the climate control. I have mine set pretty much on the same fan and temperature speeds all the time. Something, somewhere is sensing the cabin…
after thinking it all over, the 3rd eye is probably the comfort sensor for the climate control, the two little sensors next to the lamp are the motion detectors for the alarm and the gnome in the 12V receptical keeps you from smoking and damaging yo…
52 year old Gay male living along the Intracoastal Waterway in Pompano Beach, FL (immediately north of Fort Lauderdale). Partnered for 4,711 years (I exaggerate to make a point) to a remarkable and tolerant man. Love critters (have two big dogs, four cats, and a salt water aquarium full of fish, corals, and inverts.). Passionate about music with a particular delight in classical and (dare I admit this??) opera. I read voraciously and spell poorly. I enjoy road trips and all travel in general. Life is good! :-)
Oh, my personalized plate reads, "OSOSMRT". It has a double meaning. The obvious one is "Oh So Smart". The less obvious one is "demi-Spanish": Oso = Bear. Smrt=Smart; hence, Smart Bear using the Romance language noun / adjective order ("Oso Intelegente" wouldn't fit, btw. hehehehe) Is the smart the most wonderful car you've ever owned or what???!!
I am so glad to see your passion about smart car. If you are interested take a look at this picture. I got one more set left. I ordered them from UK for my passion but its going to my uncle in Boston and he is changing the pain color on his smart.
Hi Albert, Good to hear from you. Yeah, still drying out from Fay up here too. Keep heading west Gustav! Tony really spelled out the 'smart' philosophy well, didn't he. And I love your aquaculture plate. I'm thinking that one might look really good on my yellow smart! My birthday's in Feb. and I'll have to look at that then. So far, a little over 5,000 miles for me, and also lovin' it. What a cool little car. Peace + Jack
Thanks AB
I'm glad you liked it ,it gave my little smart a bit tropical feeling, driving back from the east coast yesterday on I-4 ,I had quite a few stares
Wow. I look forward to reading about that Maine trip. Sounds great. Thanks for letting me know about that. Somehow I missed reading about that before. EUL8R ! + Jack
Good to hear from you. I was just thinking about you the other day. Glad you got your smart. Aren't these things a hoot! I have a little over 3,000 miles on mine and love it more all the time. And the knee is coming along fine. By the way, my car was in our local paper (front page color picture!) this past Sunday. That article is also on TCPalm.com, for the past Sunday, "Drivers switch from gas guzzlers to tiny cars, scooters". Be well, drive fast, take chances. :-) And be smart. Peace, + Jack
