Has anyone tried aftermarket shocks or springs or both to improve their Smart Car ride, and if so what have you used and where did you procure the parts please? the potholes here are killing me... looking for a better ride than the factory gear!!

Just out of curiosity, do you normally drive the car in fully automatic mode or have you attampted to drive as a manual? The reason I ask is that I have a basic model on loan at the moment which only has the manual gearbox and I have noticed this is returning very good MPG. It could be that using the Manual on longer runs and the Auto arount town gives the best overall MPG results?
You say your car is a Passion Coupe, is this the turbo version? Getting a little concerned now as this is the car I have ordered (due early March) and was really hopefull I would get much more MPG than what is being reported
