remember, the smart is a solid cage, any impacts from the rear are just a little "push" and will momentarily increase gas mileage :)
A couple Month's back I had a good size board kick up off the road in wind and rain it clipped the top area of windshield. I was surprised no damage at all.

- Not sure, have not had the pleasure to drive one yet either. The Honda Fit seems like a decent car at least you get a back seat and space in the rear. I have a friend that has been driving the 3 cylinder Geo Metro's for years and they get in the 40s and are heavier than the Smart.
