remember, the smart is a solid cage, any impacts from the rear are just a little "push" and will momentarily increase gas mileage :)

A couple Month's back I had a good size board kick up off the road in wind and rain it clipped the top area of windshield. I was surprised no damage at all.

Not sure, have not had the pleasure to drive one yet either. The Honda Fit seems like a decent car at least you get a back seat and space in the rear. I have a friend that has been driving the 3 cylinder Geo Metro's for years and they get in the 40s and are heavier than the Smart.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. The question I have is about the manual transmission WITHOUT a clutch. Is that some sort of variable trans, I plan to go the the New York Auto Show, but sure would like to drive one too. Last year I bought my wife a Honda Fit and I get about 38 highway and it has a lot of space. Do you know anything about RPM speed. Thanks, Ray Old Bridge, NJ

Hi Ed-- I will be attending the New York auto show next week to look at the Smart--my concern is why is mpg so low for such a small car.....does it have anything to do with that manual trans with a clutch, that keeps the rpms running high---don't know the answer please help thanks Ray Old Bridge, NJ

Hi! I live in Egg Harbor City (outside Atlantic City). I'm waiting to get my car from Cherry Hill. Have you received yours already? What do you think? Was it worth the wait? I've "configued" my car in February. How long do you think I will need to wait? - Jackie

I guess punctuation, grammar, spelling, capitalization, intelligibility, etc., are not strong points on this blog.

I made an illegal U turn in front of a policeman. A little bit nasty police officer pulled me over, got my license and registration. When he came back, he asked me to get out, now I thought I was really in trouble, but he just wanted to ask questi...
