I have an 09 Smart and every now and again the security alarm goes off...for absolutely no apparent reason. Last spring when it happened at least once a day for several weeks, I called the dealer.  I love my car but recently, when the cold weather started, my driver side door will not latch properly if the car is out in the cold for a couple of hours....I know that replacing the latch will fix the problem but that is not an option right now... cold weather means less work for me...thus funds for this option are not available, i went to my dealer (unfortunatly not a smart dealer,used car shmuck dealer) they refused to help....anyone got any ideas its getting dangerous to drive the car…

Just out of curiosity, my gas mileage consistently has been between 50 and 55. This is even with chomping on it daily. Anybody else having the same good fortune as myself. My wife isn't doing so well with hers and thinks that I am blessed with a mutant engine.
