My first tank I got 38.11 mpg using Mobil/Exxon 91.

My second, most recent tank I got 38.99 mpg using Kwik Trip 91.

After reading about the lack of thermocouplers in the 2008 heated mirrors, I checked it out and sure enough, at 75 degrees F outside, my mirrors were heating. I added a lighted switch in the outboard cubby hole to turn them on and off.

I had some issues with manufacturer. It is not common to have this on other manufactured autos but Smart is not coming clean with their problem. I had a fuel pump fail in my 08 model ( cabrio) and took it in for repairs and found out the cost was nearly 1,000.00 because it is located under car cover in the tank. The real issue is that it failed so early in the car's life. Most other cars out there do not experience this till well into the 100k. My mechanic says he's seen several already (…

I just got my '08 Passion Coupe on Saturday and I've already added:

Trim badge that says "Size Matters" to the lower edge of the rear window, just above the Smart badge, and Concept X LED micro lights to the bottom of the dash to light up the floor. I think there's enough wire to run them to the interior light so they come on when you open the door, but right now I can turn them on without the interior light and enjoy the blue LED glow.
