Mercedes Emblems

Has anyone else added Mercedes emblems to the front and rear of their smart? Available on eBay.

I think Gary is just mad at the fact that Smarts are putting Mercedes badges on something that is not a true Mercedes no offense its just like how MBWorld and other Benz owners get mad seeing AMG badges on non AMG cars, for example like an s500 or s600 with an AMG badge or even an S55 with an AMG badge, it makes me mad at times myself.

Don't take the Smart car all to serious though, the thing is you can have your fun with it.

If I had a Ferrari F430 I would make a card board wing and put it on it, that would be funny and alot of people would get a good laugh.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Gary on July 22, 2008 at 12:49pm: I talk cars 12 hours a day, 6 days a week at the Mercedes-Benz dealer where I am a master certified sales rep, in addition to being an ASE Master Technician and ICAR Certified body/frameand paint tech. I own a classic E420 ('97 with 40,000 miles) and get a free ML320CDI from Mercedes for being a Master. They both have Mercedes tri-star badges that were installed from the factory. My smart replaced a leased R350.

In the meantime all we can do is emulate you in your FREE ML320CDI with a little ol' badge... I'm saving up for a Baseball cap with a MB logo on it.. or is that off limits too, I mean I did not get a MB badge stamped on my forehead at birth either!; ▶ Reply to This

Wake up, the car is made by Mercedes and WE are in the family. You may not like it but if we are your version of a bastard child, then so be it.
I have no qualms and brag about my Smart on a daily basis to all my BMW, MB, Ferrari, Lambo, and Aston Martin friends. They love my smart and now have placed orders themselves.
They are great conversation pieces and are helping to save the world eco system.

i think weve all had problems of some kind and what sato has learned will benifit me forsure. come on eveyone sign up and lets have some fun for a couple hours!
hopefully im bringing something for everyone but it will cost you $20 ea, and its not drugs! or alcohol. thats all i can say for now.

Get off your jigh horse. If you don't like what people are doing with their smarts and putting out in the discussions, stay off them! Not everyone is "fortunate" enough to me a "Master Technician and ICAR Certified body/frameand paint tech" and drive a free mercedes. If you are so down on the people who own and drive smarts. why do you have one? A lot of people buy smarts because it's what they can afford. Who cares if we want to save a little money?

By the way, does your mercedes boss know how bad you are talking about the smart and thye people who drive them? Oh, and I don't know about everyone else, but being a master mechanic doesn't impress me much.; ▶ Reply to This

We wrench because we love to, he probably has forgotten that and just does it for a pay check day in day out... day in day out. I suppose the bribe is driving a free car that he knows all the faults of... Big whoop!
Like Scott said, I also wonder how MB or The Penske group would feel about such a person working on their cars... maybe the freebie ride would change to be one of those MB bicycles they used to try to sell to the public.. or maybe just a bus pass!; ▶ Reply to This
